Cleaning up your digital footprint

TCEA recently posted HOW TO AVOID TRAGEDY BY CLEANING UP YOUR DIGITAL FOOTPRINT. I highly recommend that you take a look at the article then spend some time cleaning up your digital footprint. You should revisit this every year or two!

It's a good idea to also talk with your classes about their digital footprint. You don't have to be an expert to have conversations about best practice online!

October is Cybersecurity Awareness month. Use this time to touch up on your knowledge of Copyright Laws! Feel free to print this and put it up in your classroom!

October is Cybersecurity awareness month so what better time to have some quick discussions with students about being safe. This site has several great tips on how to discuss Internet safety with your students as well as some downloadable FREE posters to put up in your classroom!

Google's Citation Tools

 

Last week, CHS Librarian, Dr. Turner, shared Google's new citation tools. This was her message about it:

Teaching Digital Citizenship All Year in the Classroom

5C Badge Program Reminder

Would you like a Chromebook that you can use whenever you want? Even take it home to use there too? Complete the Frisco ISD Tech Department's 5C Badge program and a chromebook is yours (as long as you remain employed by FISD). 

Work with your DLC (Penney Matos) to create lessons that integrate 5C skills into your curriculum using technology to showcase the 5C skill.

Google's Free Online Digital Literacy Courses

Google offers a variety of FREE online courses over digital literacy topics. They seem to be more business focused right now but education can definitely benefit from these!
