Add these to your online classes!
These are some helpful links to add to your Google Classroom classes and your Learning Hub page.
Google Classroom --
On the About tab, click Add class materials... then fill in the information (#1, 2, 3) and Post (#4).
This is what it looks like on a student's phone:
Learning Hub --
1- In your course, click Add Resource.
2- Make sure Topic list is the targeted location (this is the top of the page under the CHS logo).
3- Click URL.
4- Copy and paste in the information.
5- Change Appearance to New Window.
6- Click Save and return to course.

YouTube's Video Editor is Going Away
Google announced back in July that they are discontinuing the YouTube Video Editor. Enhancements are remaining, the clip editor is going away. Read more about it here and here.

Hyperlink YouTube videos
You and your students can easily create a "choose your own adventure" type video trail with YouTube's Spotlight feature.
Record and upload your video, when in edit mode select Annotations --> Add annotation --> Spotlight then place it where you want it located in your video. On the bottom right, click Link and add the URL for the video or playlist you want linked to.

Google Street View Treks (use Chrome) are an awesome way to "journey beyond the road" and explore places around the world. Select the location you wish to explore, scroll down the page and click on items you want to learn more about.

Convert PPT to a Movie
Microsoft has put together these instructions on how to turn a PowerPoint (created in Office 2010) into a video file. This video can be uploaded to your YouTube channel to easily share with others.
YouTube in Education
YouTube for Primary & Secondary Education is a collection of videos and channels that have been vetted and are recommended for use in education. If you find a channel (collection of videos) that you like you can subscribe to the channel for easy access. In your settings you can also set it to send you email notifications when new videos are added to the channel.
